Tri-M-Ite (3M)

Our 3M Tri-M-Ite silicon carbide abrasive sheets is one of our best paper back sheets that create a smoother finish than aluminum oxide products on most substrates. While it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide it produces a superior finish because it fractures easily to provide a sharper edge. The light A-weight backing provides conformability over contours and into crevices and corners. The sheet can also be easily cut to fit a hand pad block, inline sander, or finishing power sander. Other applications include general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, prep prior to staining or painting and scuff sanding between coatings. The load-resistant coating and open coat construction minimize loading for better finish and longer abrasive life.
